Design Process of a Poster

Designing is an extensive process and this is an example of the work involved in a poster design. After coming up with various ideas in sketches, I begin working on the design that will work the best. In this instance, I wanted to create a pencil drawing look to the photo. I used various techniques in Photoshop to achieve this look. I then added hair extensions to create a feeling of wind in her hair and smoothed out any imperfections to give the drawing a flawless look. In the third photo, I wanted to create a visual of the phrase "Music to my ears." and added the music notes. Because it was a beach festival I used summer pastel colors and a sun effect for the title and description. In the last photo, I added a sunset image of the local beach as the background to complete the vibe of a summer evening when the festival will take place.
